Casey came to live with us when he was four months old. Ann, Steve and I drove down to meet the breeder and see her pups. She had two or three litters spread out over two or three months, and we met three or four pups before we met Casey. When they opened the door for Casey, he bounded in, dragging a blanket in his mouth. He was letting us know that he was a package deal, and what a great deal he’s been.
When we took Casey’s arm off, we got pretty protective of the one he’s got left. We noticed right away that he tended to get his arm stuck in the couch, and of course that was unacceptable. Ann spread a blanket across the crevice that was causing the problem, and problem solved. It’s worked for months. This evening, I walked upstairs, and Casey bounded off the couch, grabbed his blanket, and tail wagging, dragged it over to me. He’s still a package deal.
